Tabaquite Heritage & Recreation Tour | Saturday 15 August 2026

Journey into the heart of Central Trinidad with the National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago on our Tabaquite Heritage & Recreation Tour.

This immersive full-day experience explores the region’s railway heritage, scenic countryside landscapes, agricultural traditions, and community stories that helped shape Trinidad and Tobago’s development.

Participants will visit Knolly’s Tunnel and other sites connected to Trinidad’s railway history, enjoy panoramic countryside views at the Low Dam, visit the Tabaquite RC School garden and farm, and relax at Harry’s Water Park.

Lunch is included.

Tabaquite remains one of the communities deeply connected to Trinidad’s railway and agricultural history. The railway system once transformed trade, transportation, and everyday life across the island, linking rural communities to wider economic and social development.

Sites such as Knolly’s Tunnel serve as reminders of the engineering achievements and labour histories that shaped Central Trinidad. This tour also highlights the importance of preserving community heritage, agricultural knowledge, and natural spaces for future generations.
