The Resilient Heritage Trinidad and Tobago Project is a two-year initiative funded by the highly competitive U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP). The project aims to advance the resilience and long-term preservation of our twin island nation’s historic places and resources, as they are increasingly impacted by changing climate and its associated hazards. The National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago, in collaboration with the University of Florida’s Historic Preservation Program (UFHPP), the Craig Group Partners through the US Embassy Port of Spain, was successful in securing the grant to cover the first phase of this project and is the only country in the Caribbean to so do.
