Both nominees and nominators must be in good financial standing.

A document entitled  ‘Guidelines for submitting your biosketch’ is also provided to assist you in making your submission.

Kindly note that the formal notice of the General Meeting will be subsequently provided to the membership with at least 28 calendar days’ notice in accordance with updated Rule 9(1).

Guidelines for submitting your biosketch

A biosketch is a one-paragraph description of your professional identity.

Purpose

The main purpose of the biosketch is to provide written information about yourself to assist members in exercising their vote at the National Trust Council elections.

Contents

Your biosketch describes your professional and/or personal involvement in heritage and culture and/or any other related field in both Trinidad and Tobago and aboard. It should also outline how you intend to help the Trust achieve the strategic objectives contained in its Strategic Plan.

Members elected to the Council are the voice of the membership. The National Trust  intends to continue to drive its growth through increased membership. As such, members elected to Council will play a pivotal role in championing membership relations and expanding our membership base.

Your biosketch should include a head shot so that members can easily identify the candidates contesting the Council elections.

The submission of a biosketch not exceeding 200 words is required under the National Trust Rules. You are asked to submit it with your résumé and the completed prescribed Nomination Paper before the close of nominations on Wednesday 5th October 2022 at 12:00 noon (GMT-4).

Format

Your biosketch should be provided in an editable electronic format (Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, etc.) and not in pdf. This will assist us in sharing it with the membership on our website, social media and/or other media for the purpose of electing a suitable member to fill one vacant elected position on the National Trust Council at the 2022 General Meeting.
