The National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago presents the exhibition Details: A closer look at the built and natural heritage of Trinidad and Tobago at the Sangre Grande Public Library from May 9th – 29th, 2017.  

The exhibition was officially launched on the 29th March, 2017 at the NALIS Library, Port of Spain with over 100 photographs highlighting intricate details of heritage sites across Trinidad and Tobago.  The display is divided into four categories: Heritage Lost, Places of Worship, Private Residences and Public Spaces and includes pictures of the Red House, Fort Picton,  Arnos Vale Waterwheel, Tobago and the Sangre Grande Post Office.

This initiative of the National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago encouraged volunteer photographers to contribute to the cataloguing of heritage sites. Twenty-nine volunteer photographers collectively submitted over 3000 images, some of which are also featured in an accompanying Resource Guide developed by Tessa Alexander Sloane-Seale, artist and art educator.

This guide is designed as a supplement for primary and secondary school students and features a glossary of architectural terms and activities.  The guide is available at the exhibition venue and at the National Trust’s office.
