National Trust Launches Emancipation Exhibition: Echoes of the Motherland

The National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago invites you to commemorate and acknowledge Emancipation 2025 with a special exhibition titled Echoes of the Motherland — a free event that honours the spirit and legacy of African ancestors in Trinidad and Tobago.

 

Exhibition Dates:
Monday, July 28 to Thursday, July 31, 2025
10:00 AM – 5:30 PM daily
Mille Fleurs Heritage House, Port of Spain
Admission: FREE

 

Echoes of the Motherland explores African identity, freedom, and resilience through visual storytelling, historical artefacts, and cultural displays. Whether you’re visiting as a family, stopping in after the Omawale Village at the Savannah, or bringing your summer camp, this is a meaningful and educational experience for all.
