Tobago Providence Aqueduct
[ca-sidebar id=”12985″]

Providence Aqueduct is located across Providence River at Providence Estate which provided water pressure from a dam at the top a hill for turning the waterwheel at the southern side of the Aqueduct.

The Aqueduct spans about eighty feet across the river, and is forty feet high from the river bed. It is eight feet wide at the top with a water canal, and twelve feet wide at the base. It serviced both Providence and Donvegan Estates established 12th May 1766. The Aqueduct must have been built in the 1830’s.

There are no remains of the mill.
